Mike is in his 15th year of teaching in Christian Schools. After 1 year in the public system, Mike taught at Fraser Valley Christian for 2 years and Calgary Christian for 5. He is in his 7th year at Unity Christian School. Mike completed his masters in Educational Psychology from the University of Alberta in 2007 and enjoys putting that to practice when working with students and parents. Mike and his wife, Haley, have 4 children. Finn is 7 (grade 2 at Unity), Coby is 5 (KG at Unity), Asher is 3, and Knox is just under 1 year old.. Mike is an avid sports fan, having been to 30 major league baseball stadiums and having Seahawks season tickets.

Jeanette was born and raised in Edmonton and moved to the Lower Mainland in 1993. She received her BA in Social Sciences from The King’s College in 1991 and her BEd in Elementary Education from the University of Alberta in 1993. Her career began at Abbotsford Christian School, and she held a number of different positions there over 14 years. Jeanette made the move east to Unity in September 2007. She is kept busy with her different roles at Unity, where she is excited about working with the students and staff as they all learn and live in Christ. She admits that she’s a sucker for a skinny vanilla latte from Starbucks, loves to read, watch movies, go for walks, travel and spend time with friends.

Matt joined Unity Christian School in 2013.   He was previously the athletic director at Langley Christian High School for 8 years. He completed his MEd degree in Educational Leadership from Dordt College in 2016.  He is passionate about improving student learning and engagement, and exploring ways to make learning challenging and empowering.  He is excited about implementing the new BC Ed plan as it supports the mission of Unity Christian School to allow students to develop their God-given potential, and to be engaged in real work with real people in the Kingdom of God.   He has coached senior boys basketball for the past 9 years and led his teams to 4 Fraser Valley A titles and medaled in 4 provincial A basketball championships. Matt lives in Chilliwack with his wife, Carol, and their children, Drew and Emma.
