Sandi also enjoys music, sports, family functions, reading and eating (though not necessarily in that order). Her great dream is to be crowned ‘Champion Bump Player of the Universe’ but she’d settle for beating all of her Track and Field students in a footrace.

Ms. Terpstra has been teaching at Unity Christian School since 2007. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Education with minors in Chemistry and Physics from Dordt College. She is a self-described “artistic nerd”. She loves theatre, is a member of a community choir and leads worship both at church and school. On the nerdy side, she is interested in anything science including science fiction books, TV, and movies. Ms. Terpstra teaches at Unity Christian School because she is passionate about the vision of the school and is dedicated to teaching students about God, themselves, science, and our role as Christians in God’s Kingdom.
Michelle has been teaching art part-time at Unity since September 2003. Prior to that, she graduated with a BFA from Calvin College, travelled, worked as an artist/photographer, and became a wife and mother of three. Teaching was never in her plans, but an act of faith in response to God’s calling. Today she feels blessed to share her passion for creating with her students. Her mantra can be summed up by Madeleine L’ Engle - “God is constantly creating through us, with us, and to co-create with God is our human calling.”
Jane joined the staff at the elementary campus in 1995 and joined the mid/high campus somewhere around 2005. She works two days in the elementary library and one day a week at the mid/high library. Before moving to Abbotsford and joining the Unity staff, she worked for 10 years at the Edmonton Public Library. When not working, she enjoys playing and reading with her grandson, photography, taking pottery lessons, reading, volunteering at the local thrift store, and being involved at church. A favorite food ...does chocolate count? One of the places she likes to visit the most is probably the Oregon Coast. But, just being by the water anywhere is very relaxing and a great place to sit and read.
