Auction & Celebration 2022

The Development Committee and Auction Taskforce have started planning and preparing for the 2022 - 2023 Auction and Celebration. We recognize the importance of our community fundraising events to support the mission and vision of Unity Christian School. Over the past two years, the Development Committee has received a significant amount of positive feedback on the online auction. For some, the online format provided an easier format for members of our community to fully participate in the auction. Conversely, we have really missed the in-person community-driven feel of the Auction and Celebration and look forward to being back at the Chilliwack Landing Sports Centre.

After much deliberation, the Development Committee decided to have a virtual and in-person event! What was once the live auction will remain a virtual event from Thursday, November 17th, to Friday, November 18th. Online bidding will open at 9:00 am Thursday and have a soft close at 9:00 pm on Friday, which a final close by 10:00 pm. Families can pick up any items they purchased during the virtual auction event at the Landing Sports Centre on Saturday, November 19th, between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.

The funds from the Auction and Celebration support program development, program enhancement, and capital improvements. The school budget, supported by tuition and government funding (50% of the cost to educate a student in BC), supports and maintains the current educational program. Fundraising is necessary to support capital improvements and add additional resources to enhance a student's learning experience. We have used the proceeds from past events to build our elementary school playground, add air conditioning in our high school gym, purchase new science equipment, add new resources for our Band and Art programs, and purchase new buses, to name a few. Your financial support permits the school to expand its capacity to meet its mission to nurture every student's God-given potential.

We are grateful for your continued support and participation in the Auction and Celebration!
