Beyond the Horizon

On Thursday, January 16th, 2025 the Beyond the Horizon Taskforce hosted a Town Hall for members of the Chilliwack Christian School Society and stakeholders in Unity Christian School. This event provided an important opportunity to discuss our school's future growth and expansion.

During the evening, we shared a presentation on Unity Christian School’s mission, vision and strategic plan, reinforcing our commitment to Christ-centred education. We also explored demographic trends, inquiry and admissions data, and Chilliwack population projections, highlighting how these factors impact our school's long-term planning.

A key focus of our discussion centred on:

Building a new PreK–Grade 5 campus on 50700 Hack-Brown Rd. to accommodate Christian families seeking Christian Education.
Transforming our current facility into a dedicated Middle and High School, creating enhanced learning spaces for our older students.

We are excited about the possibilities these changes bring and appreciate the valuable input shared by our community.

Strategic Plan 2022 - 2027

We are pleased to share the Unity Christian 2022-2027 Strategic Plan. We were thankful to have Educational Consultant, Dave Medema, lead our strategic planning process from October 21-23, 2021. Dave has led the last two strategic plans and has a deep connection to the Unity community.

On Friday, October 22, we had a large group of board members, staff, parents, and students meet together in the library. We started the process by reviewing the strategic plan survey data (thank you for your responses) and looking for trends and themes. We then launched into discussing the mission and vision statements and creating possible goals. On Saturday (October 23), all board members, along with the administrative leadership team, met with Dave to review the previous day's information and start putting together a draft plan.

The School Board has approved the final version of the Strategic Plan. The Strategic Plan is a fundamentally important road map for the leadership of the School Board. The Board is a strategic and visionary board that regularly reviews progress on the plan's goals. Further, the plan is important for students, staff, administration, parents, caregivers, grandparents, alumni, and community stakeholders to clearly know the mission, vision, and strategic priorities of Unity Christian School.

Preschool Strategic Plan 2022 - 2027

We are pleased to share the 2022 - 2027 Preschool Strategic Plan with you! In January 2022, we collected survey data from current and past Preschool families to better understand our families' Preschool experience. The feedback was very encouraging and provided some identifiable areas for future growth. We have created measurable targets and goals for the future, and we look forward to taking the next steps in developing our growing Preschool program.
