    TEACHING POSITIONS 

    Position:  Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher (Maternity Leave)


    Potential Start Date: Mid-October

     Unity Christian School in beautiful Chilliwack, B.C. is seeking a Kindergarten homeroom teacher to fill a maternity leave position starting Mid-October 2019.  Unity Christian is a growing school community in the Upper Fraser Valley with 500 students K – 12.   The mission of Unity Christian School is to assist students in developing their God given potential, enabling them to participate in the work of building the Kingdom of God; we are intentional about pursuing our graduate profile for our students.   

     About the Elementary School:

    The Elementary school is home to 12 committed teaching staff members and 220 students in grades K – 5.  The Elementary school learning community is one that is collaborative, integrative, and focused on meeting the unique learning needs of elementary school students.  From Kindergarten through to Grade 5, students are engaged in learning activities that foster a love for learning and a curiosity about the world around them. They are engaged in learning experiences that encourage them to ask questions, investigate and to seek answers, to explore and experience the delights of God’s world. Students are also encouraged to be discerning and to find ways in which they can better serve and support all of God’s people.

     We are looking for a passionate and growth minded individual, ready to be part of a exciting and progressive teaching team.

    Each candidate must be:

    • a committed Christian
    • a BC certified teacher (or be able to qualify for BC certification)
    • dedicated to Christian education.

    Unity Christian School in beautiful Chilliwack, B.C. is seeking a HS Math, Science and Bible teacher to fill a maternity leave position starting in mid-November 2019.  Unity Christian is a growing school community in the Eastern Fraser Valley with 500 students K – 12.   The mission of Unity Christian School is to assist students in developing their God given potential, enabling them to participate in the work of building the Kingdom of God; we are intentional about pursuing our graduate profile for our students.  

    About the High School:

    The high school is home to 15 committed teaching staff members and 175 students in grades 9 – 12.   The high school learning community is one that seeks to empower students to own their learning and to provide a grace-filled community that allows students to be challenged in their faith and learning. 

     Each candidate must be:

    • a committed Christian
    • a BC certified teacher (or be able to qualify for BC certification)

    Unity Christian is seeking an on-call/substitute bus driver.  Candidates need to have a valid class 2 drivers license.
