Service Learning

Unity Christian Students are committed to serving both locally and globally. It is our hope that our students can be creation restorers and creation enjoyers while serving others and learning more about their own God-given gifts and talents.

    Locally

Students from K-12 participate in a wide range of community service projects. Food drives across divisions support Ruth & Naomi's. Staff and students also support Ruth & Naomi's with their hands. Many classroom fundraisers support the Cyrus Center, including the funds raised by the Annual Career Education 10 Christmas Market. Students in primary have also raised funds to support the transition of a refugee family in Canada. In middle school, all students participate in a 5km run, raising money through "Run for Water," helping provide clean water to Ethiopia.

    Globally

Unity Christian Students can participate in several field trips across Canada, Europe, and Belize. Every second year, students in grades 11 and 12 travel to Belize. For one week, students experience God's creation in Belize. Students visit Mayan Ruins, explore the Belizian rivers, and spend a day on the Caribbean Sea. During the trip, Unity partners with and supports Cayo Christian Academy, a local Belizian Christian School. Unity recognizes the role of both home and church for missions trips, making the focus of the Unity trip to support Christian education in a developing country. We are thankful for our partnership with Cayo and the relationships we have developed.
