At Unity Christian School, we remain committed to nurturing students’ God-given potential as they humbly serve God’s world. Part of that commitment includes seeking honest feedback, learning from our community, and continually growing together.
This year, we participated in the Flourishing School Culture Instrument (FSCI) — a research-based survey created by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). The FSCI helps Christian schools better understand their unique culture, celebrate strengths, and identify meaningful opportunities for continued growth. Through the voices of staff, students, and parents, the survey sheds light on key dimensions of school life, including purpose, relationships, teaching and learning, well-being, and leadership.
We are encouraged and grateful to share that the results show our learning community continues to flourish and grow since our last survey in 2021–2022. The feedback affirmed many areas of strength and highlighted the deepening vibrancy of our school culture. Here are a few places where we have seen notable growth:
Living God’s Story
Students increasingly recognize that they are part of God’s bigger plan — that He invites them to make a meaningful difference in the world. This sense of purpose continues to shape the heart of our school community.
Strengthened Family Partnerships
Families expressed that they feel deeply connected to the mission of the school. Parents affirmed that their child’s spiritual development is enriched through partnership, involvement, and shared commitment between home and school.
Intentional Mentorship
Staff continue to walk closely with students — pointing out their strengths, helping them see how their gifts fit into God’s larger story, and recognizing challenges they may be facing at school or at home. This culture of care remains one of Unity’s defining strengths.
Highly Qualified Staff
With recent teacher hires bringing strong credentials and practical classroom experience, our team continues to grow in expertise and excellence.
Targeted Professional Development
Professional development remains intentional and relevant, with on-site learning opportunities tailored to specific subject areas and roles. This equips our staff to grow professionally while supporting effective teaching and learning.
